Any decisions made by the organisers are deemed final.
Entries & Selection Process:

- Entries open on 1st May and close on 31st July. Steps 1 to 6 must be completed by 31st July.
- FGT is open to all ages 10 years and over.
- There is an entry fee, payable online, to cover administration. The cost is $30 for an individual entry. For Groups the cost is $30 plus $5 for each additional person (eg 2 people $35).
- Auditions are via video (MP4) submitted online. Videos can be up to 4 minutes in total length. The act component must be a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes. The additional time may be used to communicate other information to the judges. If anyone is not able to record their own video please contact us and we can arrange to film at a very minimal cost.
- Acts must be able to fit onto the Buckland Hall stage area (please check the stage floorplan link below)
- Acts must not have or create any health or safety issues
- Acts must be primarily of an amateur status
- The organisers’ technical team will assess the entries to ensure that space, props, lighting and sound are all feasible and are acceptable from a health & safety perspective.
- The organisers’ decision is final in relation to accepting or rejecting any entry that does not comply with the competition guidelines.
- Acts will be judged against every other talent by a team of experienced judges and a shortlist of 20 acts to feature in the Showcase Finale will be selected.
- It is a condition of entry that the acts selected as the 20 finalists all agree to attend the dress rehearsal & finale and be prepared to remain at Buckland Hall until the end of the Showcase Finale.
- The 20 Showcase Finalist acts, plus the unsuccessful entrants will be notified by email on 15th August.
- The 20 Showcase Finalist acts will be asked for an image (eg head and shoulders) for use on the audience voting papers at the Showcase Finale.
