Designed for those new to sewing, you will learn machine setup, sewing terminology, basic stitching, fabric types, and by the end of the course will be confident in simple sewing projects as well as clothing alterations. We will finish off by making a shopping tote bag with fabric of your choice.

For this course you will need to bring: sewing machine (and extension lead), thread, fabric scissors, tape measure, pins & fabric marker.

 

(Instruction print outs and fabric for the skills practice will be supplied. You will need to provide your choice of fabric for your bag).

Hi, I’m Debbie. I’ve been sewing for 40+ years creating anything and everything from clothing for myself and my children, to curtains, soft toys and craft items. Sewing has always been a passion of mine – I’m always looking for new projects and have an addiction to fabric!
