We invite you to come along to the Public Display & Vote for your favourite builds!

Public Display & Voting – 1.00 – 3.00 pm

If you are not a builder then just come along and support the event. Enjoy viewing the amazing creations that our contestants have made and casting your vote for your favourite build in each of the three categories

We want to make the display as vibrant and interesting as possible and so not only will the entrants work be displayed but we would like to extend an invitation to any other avid builders to bring along their pieces to add to the event.

Competition Guidelines

  1. Entries close 8th September 2024
  2. Arrival & set up time 8.15-8.45 am.
  3. The competition will commence promptly at 9.00 am
  4. Tables & seating will be provided
  5. Bricks: All entrants to bring their OWN building bricks which can be any Lego branded bricks (such as Lego classic etc) or an equivalent non-Lego brick, or mix of both (Sorry Duplo not included). There is no limit as to how many, or how few, bricks are brought/used
  6. All construction MUST take place at the event ie nothing is to be brought pre-constructed
  7. Only a pre-drawn concept may be brought to the competition (ie no building instructions, box images etc)
  8.  The build time indicated is the maximum and entrants can finish earlier and then leave.

Judging

  1. All displays will be anonymous (Entries will be identified by age)
  2. Judging 12.00-1.00 pm – by our Master Brick Judge, assisted by our sponsor Shane Callander
  3. Judging will take into account age/build/creativity & storytelling plus for the two older groups inclusion of any additional element/instruction
  4. Master Brick Judge & Sponsor will count for 85% of overall mark
  5. The Master Brick Judge’s decisions on all matters are final

Public Display & Voting

  1. 1.00 to 3.00 pm Public Display & Voting
  2. Public voting will count for 15% of overall mark
  3. Adult builders are welcome to bring items to be included in the Public Display

Prizes & Prizegiving

  1. 4.00-4.30 pm – Entrants must be present for the prize giving to be eligible for a prize
  2. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will be paid in cash at the Prize Giving
  3. All entrants will receive a certificate
