The Great Brick Competition 2026 has now reached the maximum of 40 entries. If you would like to be put on our waiting list in case of a cancellation (we do sometimes get cancellation due to unexpected commitments or sickness) please email us
EVENT DATE: Sunday 29 March 2026
VENUE: Buckland Hall, 18 Logan Road, Buckland, Pukekohe 2677.
ENQUIRIES: info@bucklandhall.nz
This year promises to be an even more exciting event as we welcome a second Master Brick Judge. Matt Brachi will continue to judge Group 1 and we welcome Rowan Dixon who will judge Group 2. Matt and Rowan will both judge Group 3. A representative from our prize sponsor G J Gardner Homes will also provide their thoughts on the overall results.
We hope you will understand but unfortunately due to rising costs of power, maintenance etc., we now need to ask for a small entry fee of $5 per person to help cover the Buckland Hall costs.
As per last year, the kitchen will be in operation offering drinks, toasties, sausage sizzle, chips, snacks etc.

JUDGES COMMENTS
A PDF link to the Minifig image has been provided below so that you can zoom in on the characters, download and/or print.
Before the competition commences, the Group 3 entrants will draw a number (1-12) and this will be the order in which they will choose their Minifig. Make sure you plan and are prepared for several potential Minifig options dependent upon the order in which you can choose.
If you are choosing one of the generic characters, then of course we want to see your imagination coming through, your build should tell us a story about that character and what is going on for them. If you are choosing a famous character, we would be looking to see that characters established personality and world reflected in your build.
